GRCOne: Integration capabilities

BusinessOptix has introduced a set of standard, configurable connectors to support GRCOne implementations alongside the BusinessOptix BPM Repository.

In simple terms, these connectors support the synchronisation of data between the two platforms, with the following primary use cases available presently (more use cases may be added as standard, but customer-specific requirements are usually straightforward to configure for).

Use Cases:

• Bi-directional integration of Controls:

  • Synchronisation of the GRCOne Control register into BusinessOptix as Master Data which can then be referenced in the GRCOne Controls properties in Author. A selection of important Control data is mirrored in BusinessOptix for easy reference, but GRCOne remains the single source of the truth for Control data. (This integration supports Insert/Update and Archiving of Controls)
    
  • Synchronisation of the relationships between BusinessOptix Activities/Processes and related Controls in GRCOne. Once a control is referenced in BusinessOptix, a Process Link is created in the GRCCone Control allowing a GRCOne user to link back to the referenced process.
    
    

• Uni-directional integration of Risks:
  • Should a customer wish to reference Risks directly in BusinessOptix (as opposed to indirectly, by way of the relevant Control(s), the above (bullet one in Controls) integration is also supported for Risks.
• Metrics synchronisation
  • Where metrics are maintained in GRCOne (KPI's and similar), either related to Controls, Risks, or directly related to Activities, they too can be synced with a BusinessOptix Tenant as Master Data for reference/linking.
  • Should the tolerance data be maintained, additional markup is available to show the current status of the Metric.
