In the October 2019 release, we have added new capabilities, enhanced existing capabilities and fixed a variety of issues. The focus of this release has been around extending workflow capabilities for Version 7 libraries.
Workflow
Workflow has received changes in both the definition and the user experience for reviewing and approving the model.
User Experience
When a user opens a model that requires review or approval then the prompt at the top of the model will only be shown if the user hasn't previously completed that step.
The Actions menu now provides more detail on the active workflow step. This includes information on what the step is, who is responsible for completing it and whether they have. A user who is responsible for completing the step will be able to open the workflow decision dialog.
The workflow decision dialog uses your workflow configuration to prompt the user on what they are being asked to do and the available options. Your library administrator can change workflows to better fit your business terminology. The user will be asked to confirm their decision and optionally add a comment.

Workflow Configuration
Email notifications can be configured to be sent to a variety of stakeholders and whilst your library administrator can configure the message we have tried to make it clearer on which users are responsible versus those who are informed. The users responsible for the step will now be on the To line of the email and informed stakeholders will be cc'd.
Clients who have multiple BusinessOptix libraries will now be able to use workflow to publish a model from one library to another.
Authors can now view and edit previous revisions of Workflow models.
A dashboard is also available that lists all the current workflows and the related models.

Process Models
We've modernized and cleaned-up the icons we use to represent BPMN notations.
We've also fixed a couple of issues. Message links were not opening the model they were linking to correctly. And clicking on an activity in Document view of a process model was opening the activity in a new tab.

Work Instructions
There were a couple of fixes to Version 7 work instructions. On high-resolution screens the work instructions were opening too far to the right. And when you clicked on the work instruction icon on the activity the property tray was also being opened.

Organization Charts
A fix to Responsibility, Accountability, Consulted, Informed (RACI) tables means that they are now being loaded correctly.

Forms
When forms have been configured to notify a group of users with a group email address configured the notifications were still being sent to the individual user email addresses.

Version 7 Library
We've fixed a few bugs in the library user interface. These include:
- Page titles were not always updating after viewing a model or form
- Model descriptions were disappearing from view when navigating back and forward between tabs
- Clicking on the library logo when a home page dashboard was configured displayed a blank page, rather than the dashboard
- It was hard to sign-in to a library with Public Access enabled
- For models in the Stakeholder folder, we were not showing the correct modified date
[Available immediately in Version 7]
PDF Output
In PDF outputs we’ve made the table of contents less faint and improved text justification when the rich text contained HTML <br>
[Requires Library Refresh for Version 7]
Author
There are a few fixes in Author:
- Importing an XBP when the folder doesn't exist now creates the folder before the import is started
- The compare functionality now better supports linked images
- If you tried to mark a comment as resolved after you'd moved the model it failed with an unhelpful error message. It now marks the comment as resolved.

Manage
Corrected a spelling mistake

Stencils
To support client custom stencils or on-going BusinessOptix changes we've added the following to stencils:
- A stencil developer can now add custom labels (@label) to a shape that will be used instead of the node name (@name).
- When a component in a stencil is partially defined from master data the stencil developer can display more of the master data as though it was a component property.
