The June 2020 release provides a number of enhancements and addresses a some issues identified through usage and on-going testing.
User Guides
With clients creating and managing more complex content in their BusinessOptix library there is a need for locally prepared user guides that help explain to your business users how they should use the content. For example, if you are have configured a Kanban board to track tasks in your library, then you may also have a guide on how your business users should complete forms and notes on the related process.
With the user guide feature, you can now link to your locally created user guides from your models. Your business users will then be able to click on a help button that more easily directs them to the guides. [Library Update Required]
Process Models
Adding a gateway in a future state process model created unconditional following links, which was inconsistent with the current state when it was conditional.
When a lane is dropped in a future state transformation all of the steps in the lane are also automatically dropped.
When a filter is applied to the model and the contents of an open property sidebar are changed the sidebar refreshes. This was required for a client custom request and is not currently used in any product property sidebars. [Library Update Required]
Whitebox pools in future state process models were not correctly labeled if the first lane in the pool was dropped. [Requires Extension, Request from Customer Support]
Library
On recently viewed models you can now right-click to open the model in a new tab. [Immediately available in V7]
Workflow
Workflow didn't have access to workflow models when the workflow folder had an administrator created access control on it. Workflow now has access.
When the Publish to Public workflow is removed from a library, a library update does not re-install it. [Immediately available]
The Workflow Status dashboard was misreporting workflows when the user assigned the workflow was either not in a group or in more than one group. [Requires Library Update]
Public Library Access to Models
Models viewed from the public folder no longer show master data.
Models that are variants of another model can now be viewed in the public folder. [Immediately available in V7]
Rapid Process Discovery
Clicking on the activity in the process diagram now displays the survey form that was used to create the activity. [Extension Update Required, Request from Customer Support]
Dashboards and Data Sources
The model URL returned in a data source has been changed so that it will link to the model, even if the model has been moved. [Immediately available in V7]
Process Metrics
Requesting an activity filter on a step in process metrics now filters the process metrics model [Extension Update Required, Request from Customer Support]
Author
An author can now select more than one step in a process model and then change the step type (see Actions/Change Type)
Resolving a comment in Author now resolves the discussion and not just the individual comment.
[Immediately Available in all Libraries]
Technical
TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 encryption have been removed. This is in line with industry practice as the protocols are no longer actively used by browsers.
SAML based single sign-on users who log out of their BusinessOptix library will now be reflected to the single sign-on provider.
The API for data sources (dataForComponent) now supports more parameters to enable more refined data retrieval. See the technical documentation for more information. [Immediately Available in all Libraries]
