Performance in the EU Platform - 28/10/2026
Infrastructure change impacting performance
Improving platform performance in our EU region
Over recent weeks, we have been monitoring, and some customers in our EU region have reported, slower than expected load times when opening models and pages in BusinessOptix. We’ve investigated this closely and want to share what we found and what we’ve done about it.
What we found
The main cause was how the application server reaches the files that make up each library. Earlier this year we changed our library storage architecture to give us even more resilience and DR options.
Before rolling it out, we validated this model over an extended period, where it performed well. However, over time and under real customer usage, the performance impact has proved greater than expected.
What we’ve changed
On 27 October we finalised the rollback of EU library storage to the previous model. Your data remained protected throughout, and had been kept in sync between the two storage services since the original switch, to support a potential return to the original model.
What’s next
We’ll keep monitoring performance closely, together with customers, to confirm the improvement. More broadly, we’re continuing to invest in platform performance, not only through infrastructure changes but also through improvements to the application.
