Server & Author Release - June 2026
The release guide for Server and Author in June 2026
Date: 9 June 2026
⚠️ Action required: Some items in this release require a library update to take effect. These are marked 🔧 below.
Author
What's new
- 🔧 Model stakeholder assignment now respects license type. A Model Author must hold an Author license; a Model Owner must hold an Author or Participant license; and Workflow Review or Approval must hold an Author or Participant license. (Requires library update)
- 🔧 Models can now be configured to show Review, Approval, Distribution and Sponsor as read-only — or to hide them entirely when they aren't needed. (Requires library update)
- When two users share the same name, we now display their email address to help you tell them apart.
- Viewing models with large numbers of autonamed components is now faster, thanks to a new stencil autoname option. Further autoname experience improvements are planned for a future release.
Fixes
- Steps in an embedded sub-process that were set to display off-screen are now correctly forced on-screen.
- Corrected an auto-layout issue that could place an embedded sub-process in the wrong lane.
Output
Fixes
- 🔧 Font sizes in tables now display correctly. (Requires library update)
Workflow
What's new
- Workflow has been enhanced to support an upcoming capability that will let it bundle changes across models and components.
Import

Fixes
- Resolved an issue where the Visio importer could fail to display configuration options in certain circumstances.
Server & APIs
What's new

- New API for returning the links from a model (
LinksFrom), documented in OpenAPI. - Workflow APIs now return more information, including description, model URL, model name, model type, started by, started, and timeout.
